Utah Summer Games, Shakespearean Festival and Groovefest

There’s always a lot to see around Cedar City, Utah! There’s National Parks, State Parks, Wilderness, Nature, the desert and plenty of outdoors recreation. But, now that summer has arrived, there a lot of events going on in Cedar City. Being festival city, almost every month there are activities going on.
Right now The Utah Summer Games have begun. There are 52 different sports offered and thousands of people have begun arriving in Cedar. The events run from June 7th thru the 24th. The Utah Shakespearean Festival opens on June 21st and runs into the fall time. This years festival will be featuring King Lear, Twelfth Night, The Tempest and Coriolanus. In addition George Bernard Shaws Candida, Thronton Wilder’s The Matchmaker, Yasmina Reza’s comedy called Art, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap and lead tenor Tito Morelli. The Groovefest American Music Festival opens June 21st and runs thru the 24th. This is a free admission family oriented festival with a great line up. Here’s the website: www.groovefestutah.com
