Adventure Travel Trip Report To Ancient Indian Petroglyphs

Parowan Gap Petroglyphs is an interesting visit. It’s only about 12 miles out of Cedar City, Utah. The ancient Indian drawings are thought to be at least 1,000 years old. There is a cave located close to the road and easy scrambles up the hill sides offer vistas of the Escalante Desert. Getting closer to the gap I took a photo.

There has been moisture during springtime and many of the cactus were in bloom. There were a few visitors looking around and we hiked the hill sides.

Visiting the gap was an easy little trip while in Cedar City. In addition Cedar City is home to Iron Mission State Park. I have posted a trip report at the Outdoor Recreation Message Boards at this link:
